Shared Anthropology is a method, or I would rather to say a concept and A way of looking, introduced by the late filmmaker/anthropologist Jean Rouch.

In the process of making films about the Other, self-reflexivity of  the anthropologist/filmmaker, effective feedback on the edited materials by the collaborators, their involvement in the process as well as sharing the knowledge of filmmaking with them, were the essential elements of this concept that has been applied by Rouch half a century ago. shared anthropology is considered as part of the attempt to give voice to the voiceless, who for a long period of time have been under the domination of Colonizers and in general the Powerful, and -only as one of the consequences- have been objectified, interpreted and (mis)represented.
